Amazing that you made it - you must have expected the wrong kind of snow on the line...

It doesn't sound like a fun journey, but it sounds remarkably pain free for a snowy England

Well done Macolm it gives me the shivers thinking about it, and then I think how I use to have to get up to an unheated house and out into the moonlight filling frosted five gallon pariffin cans. you can't do it when you get older.

It's high time I hitched up my pants, put on my boots and
tackled the chores: Decorate the house with a bit of tinsel and a couple lights, invite folks in for a light brunch and a family get-together. I need to change my mind about this holiday season, or at least pretend to one and all that 'tis the season to be jolly... The seeds of your example have not fallen on barren ground.

I heard on the radio too about your weather over there - the joys of winter, huh? Loved your description of the trip in, and like you, I need my hot cuppa liquid in the morning, but am with Elyse for it being coffee instead of tea. Oh - and what Kabu said!

so tea it is Malcolm --- it's a must I have at least 3 cups of rather black coffee --- espresso - so I understand the peeper opener.  Sounds like yes, not a bad journey at all for you.  That you were able to relax in the bath was excellent I would say.   Ah, I know you all will be winding up for a big weekend.  It's nearing Christmas. ~ Elyse

Oh you are so brave to weather such weather on an ongoing basis. I love your family stories.

I am sure it made you real happy that you don't have to make that
commute each day any more.

I'm glad the journey to London was a safe one and you had a nice Christmas lunch.

I saw on the news last evening all that early snow London got...Like you I walk into things when I leave the lights off in the house.
