We got our first real bit of snow overnight with more threatening, but never quite happening.  I am lucky in that I don't have to travel far though

Today I was in the hard rain. When I came in from the rain I fell down. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Malcolm
You have our weather and we have yours, raining here with some snow late today. Why not stay home tomorrow and forget about going to London my friend?

We got 8" of snow last night in my valley and it has created all kinds of problems for me! The weather is so unpredictable, I don''t understand why they bother to attempt to predict it! sam

it is very cold here, but we have only had a few flurries
so far...of course, we're in the southernmost tip of Ontario, which may or may not mean anything when this entire winter ahead is said and done...:).

The weather's gone crazy
It hasn't snowed for two days here, but the temperature has been around -10 and the forecast is -16 tomorrow. Good thing I can work from home.

My boiler conked out last night Malcolm one has to  be very cunning when this happens it says in the paper ring before eleven and we will be out the same day. The trouble is it doesn't seem to work when there is a freeze on I could stick the cold but was afraid the pipes would freeze beneath the floors. The poor chap turned up at 5-45 luckily he had a replacement fan. I was just beginning to think of changing providers. It's this warming effect I expect.Take it steady we used to fit snow chains out in the sticks, but then that was in deep snow.

Thank you for dropping by Malcolm and thank you for the "birthday" wish.  Your comment was so lovely.  We've had heaps of wind here and are expecting rain again over the next few days but no snow as yet.  I really feel for all my UK friends as I know you don't get snow all too often.  It must be really difficult, and I assume treacherous, too.  If you do get to London tomorrow, be safe!

I'm glad Claire had such a great birthday.  I hope you and yours have a blessed Christmas and New Year holiday together.

rain off and on and cold for us right now in East Texas.  Brrr cold is in the 60s --- but this morning a mean freeze.  Hmmm...I wonder what the winter will bring.

and I put a note on Claires blog yesterday because somehow I did not read that.  I know she had a wonderful day...Elyse

You're putting me in the mood for winter. I have a feeling that when it happens I'll be hoping for spring though...

I definitely know winter is here, even though it is not here yet.
