That was one busy weekend!
I don't like driving in the snow and only do so when it's absolutely necessary.

What a pleasant weekend! I am gleefully envious that you have your Christmas shopping about wrapped up; I've yet to start! I think you are very correct on the snow interrupting the milieu, I experience that, too! sam

Yes, it is definitely something in the air....
I feel like I've been in 2nd gear for the last two weeks...just can't get revved up for anything...

Like T-Zippy, I think it must be something in the air, Malcolm, because I felt the same way too. Nothing could get me moving. Oh well, tomorrow is another day - and at least you have most of your Christmas shopping done! The village sounds wonderful!

I've been exhausted of late myself Malcolm.  This time of year is hard on a lot of people.  I hope you will feel better tomorrow, and I am glad to hear you had such a pleasant day.

then rest as much as you can today Malcolm.  Ah ~ such a busy busy time this weekend.  I could never get my hubby to shop 6 hours, therefore he leaves it all to me and is why it takes me weeks to get it all done.  He is in charge of getting mine and that may take him up the night before ---  (depending on if overnite will get it there - it happens) -- all in all, love your notes ~ thank you for keeping us in touch.  Elyse

Malcolm
I love how you and your family do outings throughout the countryside and visit intriguing small towns.

I think it is the lack of daylight malcom I expect out ancestors clocked out when it became dark, one of my old aunts never liked wasting candles. The electricity was installed in her house for five years and she finally accepted that a couple of 25watt bulbs were cheaper to run than candles.Well as long as one put them out sharpish when one left the room.
