I love that picture of Jack.  He looks very trusting of you, but also very interested.  I think you have made another friend.

I don't like missing my teams player either... I enjoyed reading the ins and outs of your day.

I can feel the snow covering everything, and the trees silently
accepting their fate. Who said you were not an artist?

I love mushrooms
and all root vegetables - hard to live in East Anglia and not enjoy them!

I can relate. I never cared for mushrooms until I was over the age of 14. I don't think I've had a parsnip since my youth, either. Glad to hear there are ways to make them attractive to the pallet...I had my doubts. There is also something so beautiful about your description of the solitary dog tracks in the snow. I know what that looks like; it brought back a lot of memories of life on the farm. Thank you.

The picture is excellent - Jack looks like a cute doggie, and I hope your new neighbours look after him properly, and not let him wander off in an unfamiliar area...

Needless to say I keep my fingers crossed for a positive result from your brother's scan...

And parsnips - I'm with you, I don't like them either. But if you liked the way your friend did them, maybe you could share the secret...

Oh, and I just finished watching the Grey Cup game, the only football game I watch completely each year, and since the Argos weren't in it, I was rooting for Montreal of course, and as a result they won...

I don't know from hockey, but I'm glad the Habs bring you such fun.
As for Jack, what a good way to get to know your neighbors -- send out a good will ambassador with charm and personality.  Fingers crossed for your brother's scan...

AD ---- awwww  well, you know I find him Bostonian Beautiful.  What a smart looking pup there. And thank you for rescuing him from any dangers.  Boston's are sprightly, generally (okay my Chett only sprouts when he 'wants' to...LOL) but they do have a tendency to dart and dash without thinking - and they do 'get cold' in the climate change as well as 'hot' so oh I'm glad you rescued. xoxoxo

and I love your blogs --- so well written and so full of life, imagery and warmth all the way 'til I read of your 'smile' you offer ~ makes me smile all the time.  Elyse

At least the Habs won! I find it annoying with chit chat when I am trying to watch my Wings! I think your grandmother is smiling! Jack is a fine looking dog! You don't have to be a poet to poetry in motion in your writing in my humble opinion! I would love to see your awesome vista even if you don't consider yourself a photographer! I do hope your brother gets satisfactory report on Tuesday! I believe your son is being forthright with you, he must know by now he can't hide anything from his mom! I know mine can't get away with it!
