What an interesting post.  Which kind of big black birds were in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds"?

I myself never realized that there was a difference. When we in Baltimore got our NFL team some grumbled, "Why does our team have to be named after crows?" Granted, it was the Poe poem, but I guess that was not deemed to be a good enough by some.

Getting away from that tangent, I find it interesting how different the two really are.

Your ravens are almost human
especially with the hanky-panky bit.

This was seriously fun! My mind goes off on these kinds of tangents,
and people give me strange looks when I get all pinky and bubbly about curious interesting things that have nothing to do with anything they care about -- so it's with gratitude and a happy smile that Blogit and this post in particular makes me feel cozy and mentally nourished.

You know I simply did not have these facts down pat and now that I know the differences, I'm looking out on my fields first thing tomorrow to capture a few - deciding, crow? raven?  --- but I still think they are of the most intelligent of birds...well, probably moreso than some humans I know as well but, that will be for another study. (maybe)  Always enlightening dear Naut ~ thank you.  Elyse

Informative! LOL at your last paragraph - enjoy so much the endings of each post in here. Humour is man's best friend (next to doggies, of course!).
