I'm impressed at your research abilities. I find that really difficult to do and get quite frustrated researching material. Kabu, like yourself, is excellent at it. Must be a woman thing, there, that let's me off the hook and I can go snooze again on these antibiotics.

I find research such fun....I can spend hours in study for a couple of
paragraphs of writing and just lose myself in gulping down chunks of knowledge......it is the editing that I really loate.

I trained as an information scientist
which basically gave me insights into search and retrieval but it was really only because I was naturally nosy that I chose that career path!

The mother of a friend of mine researched her family tree and uncovered an illegitimate uncle. I wonder what emotions ran through her mind. I hope I don't sound like a nosy parker but researching into people's lives sounds mighty fascinating. Perhaps I'll take it up when I retire.

To me all this is fascinating. I've done a lot of research, but always into 'events' and 'ideas', which is inherently 'detached' and 'objective' (the inverted commas are meant to convey that these terms are not to be understood too concretely, LOL).

But to dig into people's lives is an entirely different enterprise, somehow more 'involving', and I think I can see the appeal. Maybe I should try it...

Isn't research fun.  I love research, though I don't do near as much as you.  You are so wonderful at turning your research into something very readable, and I for one love reading what you come up with.
