I bet that book some time coming Wiley I know one of my great Aunts flew over two or three times but air travel was rather a new idea.

Re: C.C. ...
Thank you Rumor as we look back people may seem odd but they looked after one another and we shall probably seem very strange in a hundred years time.

Re:
Yes but are you sure Shobana I have met some very miserable old folk who feel anything but young at heart. It is no use a teenager like yourself taking those views. Please don't come back and hit me with a tuna sandwich.

Your lovely poem about Gran reminds me of wonderful memories that I have of my Granny. Thank you so much. Happy Thanksgiving!

Re:
Well John the point of this poem is to show the thoughts of a young boy. I'm afraid one can't be a Philosopher at 6 years of age. To put you out of your misery I will post the next Gran poem on my flower page. I note your preference and will endeavor to be more articulate when you next post. Try not to lose too much sleep over this it is only a condition that will be forgotten in a couple of decades.

This is one of my faves --- I do like your Gran writings - this touched me...like the imagination rash or what not, how you told her the mice went...because you didn't want her to worry - ah, that brought memories to me. Your heart is so dear Cc - so (deep) and real and that's what I like about ya' ~ E.E.
(and I found a writing of my Grandma - I will wait til later to post - 'cause I want you to continue to appreciate the value of this 'hearty' prose of yours )

CORNCROAK
Very real, those memories of that small boy, can't say I ever missed my gran in Canada, she was a harsh old thing, but I missed my Gran in Manchester and I had never met her but one Christmas she mailed me a 'Chums' book and it was a marvelous read.
