- Go to Body scan poll: security trumps privacy

I am one that is okay with the full body scans...I, in fact, have had this a couple of times myself, due to my frequent travel (and I'm not even a frequent traveler...) I'm okay with this and with anyone they do this --- it's for 'security' - Elyse

As the terrorists get more crafty we have to expect these types of things to occur! We must put the public at large first! Shelly

It Seems to Me....
that if these security measures are being taken, it's for our own good. Homeland Security must know something that they don't want the public to be aware of. But they are in a Catch-22. Tell the public that airports are under a Code Red and watch people stop traveling out of fear which would hurt the economy even more or go the extra mile in their pat down search. People just have to realize that this is the post 9/11 world in which we live in. We didn't ask or it. Don't want it. But if it keeps us safe, must have it.

Sounds like there's going to be large segment unhappy no matter what decisions are made with regard to this.

I believe the scanners should usually be enough. They have gone way too far with some of their pat downs when people have medical conditions. That must be a rough job. For someone who could have a disguise, the scanners probably should be requied anyway.
