I am so sorry about your kitty and your daughter is in my thoughts as well considering my own daughter just went through a similar thing with her father. I am so sorry that our children have to endure such treatment from people that should care for them the most.

Blessings to your daughter and her wedding. I wish her much happiness. Really, it is her father's great loss, not having a part in his daughter's life.
I feel bad about your cat. I can't quite know just how much I would hurt if something should ever happen to our Pawz. Do you remember him?

So sad it is when one's pet is getting close to leaving us. My heart goes out to all.
I find the response your daughter's biological father to give to be saddening. Reading his response I felt like he was blaming her for not having had the contact. I feel your response was the perfect one to give.

This is a tough one! I think he was taken by surprise with the wedding and didn't know how to handle it so why not put the onus on her! It's always easier to to delay, not get involved or even ignore things! He hasn't been around for her and he probably doesn't see the need now! If he could help he should but he seems to have a mind set that his expenses are more important than his daughter having a wedding and he probably will not change that attitude! It was wrong of him to hit her with a scam issue! I think your daughter should forge ahead as though he will not be making a financial contribution and let it go at that! I am very sorry about you cat; it can't be easy! sam
