It would indeed be very dangerous for Israel to end up leasing those areas. Hopefully it does not come to that.

I'm afraid I must plead ignorance to the historical events that have led to the current status quo. The media on this side of the Atlantic are generally Israel-bashers so I follow your postings with interest, to get a better understanding of a conflict that has caused the loss of so many lives.
