What a grandson!  How fun that he will be your tenant.

Hodge podge indeed! It's sad for someone to take his life after retirement - a sign that the job was the only thing that filled his life, unless there were other causes one isn't aware of...

That your grandson is moving in is fabulous! He looks like a very cheerful sort, like his granny, so you should have a lot of fun together...But I certainly hope your son will be alright...

And finally the trip - I haven't been out West in years, I should really go again. I have good friends in Winterpeg...

I am happy about your grandson moving. I am concerned about your son. Do you mind if I pray for him? I do understand your position you want to be all over him until he gets well, but you know he is a MAN now and would certainly frown on your paying too much attention. Be blessed dear lady, you have wonderful friends. That tells me you are a wonderful friend.

I have caught up on reading about my neighbour and friend which is how I
think of you love. What agood looking Grandson and how nice to have him in and out of your house and using the pad as his own space. He will love it...and yes what a chance to cook for and spoil him.   Enjoy your break away darling.

Beautiful - handsome Young man there AD and I would say, 'hire the wood chopper' --- he is at it.  LOL ~ Bless his little heart.  Awww I loved your newsy note here AD.  and you even had time to go out and sport Helen's new jetta.  You're adorable ~ It's like we're right there at the table, drinking a cup of cofee with ya' (or tea or whatever) ~ Elyse

I forgot to say two things: 1) Fred is very handsome!; 2) Regarding my book, it's a textbook and I think it is going to take another 18 months to finish! I have the research nearly complete but now I have to write the poem that will include all the terminology and the like! It came to me after studying Elyse and CC poetry! It is going to take a great deal of work but I am stoked to be able to play with the terms and the like! It is just a whim of mine for I have no desire to publish it, just write it! I have 13 books of poetry that just sit around, too! My son says that poets don't make any money until they're dead to which I promptly informed him that he was going to be a rich man! LMAO!!! sam

You need this trip so don't fret too much! I know it is tough to leave when the uncertainty looms but I have said a prayer and I prayed as though everything has been taken care of according to the will of the Lord! How utterly sad that he would take his life; the mind just fails at times! And Fred is going to be good company in the long for you! I like it when you have someone around!

So I checked the power ranking and have discovered the Habs have fallen to 12th! Now I don't get it and I don't know why I entertain them either! but to continue to drop dramatically when they are up there in the points notwithstanding the fact they are leading their division is utterly inane to me! I don't have subscription TV and the other night when the Habs and Wings were playing I couldn't connect because a Trojan virus was detected! What the heck! I cannot believe the evilness of someone to do that! So I switched to the Habs game! And I aver the announcers were speaking French! Of course I was lost, but I know the game and a few of your guys, so I knew I would be okay! Then the damn plug in failed and I lost the game and was relegated to following it on the sports part of Fox! They were up by two and suddenly it was tied and I was shocked but then they scored three unanswered and took the victory! I think I am going to forget the power ranking because they do not get a team in the playoffs, points do! So GO HABS Go and Go Wings Go! We have to meet for the cup, it would be spectacular! And there is a rematch of women's hockey between the Us and Canada! I doubt there will be beer and cigars on the ice after this championship game! lol I still laugh when I think about the unnecessary crap they took when they chose to celebrate that way after the gold!

I am smiling as I leave and wish you a most wonderful week! sam We need a hockey emoticon, lol!

Retirement should be the start of a new phase in life. It's sad that some people can't handle it.

You cover the various developments in your life so well...So incredibly sad it is when someone takes their own life...
