It's good to relax
after being so stressed over war. I think of my Grandad at this time every year, in the freezing World War I trenches; how welcome that hot chocolate would have been.

You are such a generous heart. I have a lot of emotions about Veterans Day. I am glad you had a bit of time to goof off and glad also that you give yourself permission to do so. Yes when you give it us, it is returned to you as a gift of blessing.

I was thinking of my cousin today
he was only 27, engaged to get married...gawd, he was just too young! So sad. Anyway..

It certainly is a day for remembrance, although Vietnam doesn't have the meaning for us Canadians as it has for you. But our soldiers are dying in Afghanistan again. All things considered, I think it's a mistake to be there...
But isn't the odd bit of self-indulgence nice?
