Amen, Malcolm! Now forgive yourself - it's your home and safe haven. You have a right to be concerned.

Malcom I know how you feel I would like some new vinyl but the agony of moving everything keeps putting me off. It does seem a shame that the two minutes silence is not observed by some. Circumstances would have been very different were it not for those who gave the greatest gift usually in great numbers. Let us hope such a sacrifice was not in vain.

For one, it is your home and comfort zone and that makes it very important! But, when we size it up to other things of a magnanimosity nature we tend to be a dash more critical! Family is very important to you and Susan and for me it justifies the concern! It is tough to size anything up against those who fight for our freedoms! I would go easy on yourself and just enjoy the carpet! sam

ok so what I am going to say is only a comment but I much prefer wood floors over carpet, wish my house had those floors.  I put down the phoney wood about a year or go, so easy to take care of

Malcolm
Enjoy the new carpet and that was nice about the fitters stopping for 2 minutes as well. I thought of my brother Mike who was RAF and is buried in the Imperial War Graves at Imphal in what is now Pakistan I think. I called my brother Joe out in Calgary who made it back after serving in the HLInfantry, he is 86 now, 11 years my senior. I'm a cold war vet and as Joe says I went to France to clean up their mess. LOL

Oh yes, these sort of thoughts that go into our head are something I wonder about too.
