I have always been fascinated and inspired by the  mountains.  A very good portrayal of how they can affect people.

I think the closing couplet is very, very accurate! It is like a recipe for success for anyone! KUDOS! Sorry I am out late to get caught up but I have been battling a darn migraine! Love you! Your sam

one can't stay there though, a person must alsobe able to
remember with pride and pleasure that wonderful time, without keeping on trying to recapture it.

For me, living in flat East Anglia where we barely see a hill let alone a mountain, this is inspiring.

Nicely constructed Shobana I guess nothing would be achieved without someone going beyond one's usual ambitions. Keep climbing. No rose today site playing up.

I believe I believe and thank you Shobana for this lovely poem - inspiring and yes, rewarding as I go off onto bed and now, will have a good, restful sleep - maybe to dream of Mountains and climb into great proportions and  deeper perspective - oh I do like this poem.  Elyse  ~ love ya' and your precious soul ~

Our actions all start with a thought.

PS--and maybe just this side of a prayer.

especially like "belittling its surroundings". Now about thought and action--now that's an idea potential in its possibilities, somehow made concrete within a language of a thought!
