I would be pretty awful if we knew what each person was thinking malcolm we should have to keep counting up to a thousand or something.

The best thing about train travel....making up those stories.
I used to do that in Sydney.

any time we traveled I always made up a story about the car in front of us, I am a great people watcher

I do that too, Malcolm, and used to do it for my kids when we traveled. If some passersby ever knew what they had become in our imaginations!!!LOL!

It's fun trying to figure out just "who" are the people we are passing by or sitting near...I like the connection made to social networking.

People don't like talking to strangers. Morning commuters often read their morning papers and evening computers usually snooze over their crosswords or sudokus.

Fun read. I like the way you and your wife think up funny character backgrounds for people on the tube. ha ha. I used to make people laugh when the TV's sound was switched off and I would make up the word's they said. I used to do this with pictures or photographs in the newspaper as well.
