That is a thought provoking post and I agree, who needs so many years when one gets old and lives with pain or dementia.

And knowing that the young world resents you getting financial and health
care assistance....and children are sick of thinking about you and having to keep aneye out for you .....no I don't wish to live too long.

I totally agree with your last sentence, Pat-B. Although passing on because of an illness may permit you to make sure all your stuff is in order, I personally want to go out with a big Bang, no dragging butt for days or weeks or years. The kids can take care of whatever I didn't have time for. Are you sure she just fell? Nobody hurting her?
