This is so beautiful Judy. It reminds me of my Great-Grandpa and my Nana. William, and Evelyn Cole, who also had AD. They celebrated their eightieth wedding anniversary just a few months before she died as he held her hand and caressed her face. They were never apart, accept when he was on deployment or in hospital and she never forgot who he was.
