you know be it an end to a bloom - and end of a season...an end --- I don't like goodbyes dear CC ~ keep cracking at the cement, the hardened earth and sod --- and maybe just maybe, a root will keep holding on to bring and bear fruits later on ~ in time.  EE

Re:
Perhaps you should try bindweed Sam grows on glass nearly and has a white trumpet, but only if you think of moving eventually. Can't you grow in containers I wouldn't try to grow in sand, but I do take pink cuttings in pure sand they get better roots.

That's pretty much the way I feel right now with grandson the daffodil cracking the cement of family togetherness as he leaves again.

CORNCAKE

Y  It’s a sentimental thought. However growth can’t occur in cement. So it’s a sad poem sir. Otherwise excellent! BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I would love it if daffodils grew in my cement instead of the pesky desert weeds! Love this one! sam

C.C....
a daffodil growing in cement - now there's an image of stubbornness...if you can't get her freed up from where she stands, a cement overcoat has been known to work....no need to rustle through tranquility either....Oh, I know you still feel for her a bit, but once she's gone, she's gone.....
