- Go to June Was at the Library Sunday
Pat
Just catching up here - and I'm glad I didn't miss this one! I always like hearing about June (you know I have a weakness for the old gal) and it's disturbing that she would not recognize her own son. But, like adnohr, I too am most impressed with the way you have told this story, whose tone captures and reflects the son's smiling gentleness with his mother, and that somehow lessens the sadness...

It could happen to any of us, couldn't it? Lets hope our children react as well as June's son.

I hope I never get to the place where I don't know my own sons right off the bat even if unexpected. But, if that should happen, I think they would be patient with me, and understanding.

What a lovely son to cope so well with something so painful
For my Mother'slast years she thought that I was her big sister and didn't like me. It can get difficult to cope with.
