Re:

Hi Justi well I always say lady or Ms but it is nice to have some one to blame and I did have an Uncle Albert I remember my mother saying they had a barrel of beer for her wedding times were really hard then Justi. Anyway they went to tap the barrel and Uncle Albert watched as about a pint trickled out he had been staying over for three days and swallowed the lot. Another of the guests a handyman who helped my father sat at the wedding table. He said 'I could yet everything thee's got on this table.' My mother told me she thought I hope not it is all we have, I was hoping to save some for supper.

Re: Uncle A
Well Bob no one wee person came, not as though I had got anything to give away only my Old long Johns. Bless my soul I don't need to dress up they all run past my old cottage I think the rats in the thatch or the two old barn owls they look a bit spooky at night. No I don't take pleasure in any thing these days only embarrassing my neighbor C.C. He's a proper moody, I can't write today Alb only morbid love poems I think I've gone through the change and I can't get my sunshine tablets. So I always say never mind my boy, I'll get the old uman to knock up something usual fee a bottle of your horrible home made wine Tell your misses I like bags of chocolates but as I am courting I have to keep in shape the old uman is my housekeeper she's a proper misery, thank for the coffee tip i'll double the dose and take no pleasure in it. Should we finish a sentence with a preposition or isn't it one.

Stream of consciousness from a hungry man?  I do like this wandering poem - you cover mankind's two biggest drives

Uncle A
Do I detect a certain preoccupation with food?  - I mean, beyond your other, er, preoccupations?  If so,lets you and I form a support group.  Halloween was last night and I tricked and treated to the tune of 7 bags of candy -
without sampling even one!  Virtue? No.  Diabetes? Yes.  I got my kicks greeting them at the door in a long white robe and alien mask, asking them where they got the nerve to ask ME for candy when there was a perfectly fine source for the stuff on the back porch (i.e. Ginny on her scooter with bags of chocolate, and her dressed up as a cop with an NYPD ballcap and a windbreaker with "POLICE" on the back.)  It freaks them out!

I know how you feel about the diet, it's awful.  And I remember asking the same question about coffee, but I'm
told it's not fattening as long as you don't take pleasure in it.

Re:

GEE. E,E. I have spent time moving this fine bird up and down and it's tail seems to move. I have read your disclaimer, No bird was hurt  in the making of this photo we do not use super glue it is a natural position. No of course not I am the sane one C.C. is a figment I was going to say of my imagination but your  parrot has just flown through the window and we never open it.

Re: Ha Ha Its Uncle Albert
Thank you C'G .  I think most biscuits tasted like that she was lucky to get real dog biscuits .  How about Pineapple jam made from parsnips that was something else.

Ha Ha Its Uncle Albert

Funny ending. I fancy some chips now ha ha.

Thanks for the beans and blow fly story. It reminds me a bit of something my mother said many years ago, she's gone now, but when she was alive she said she  stayed in a place when she was young with a distant relative I think it was during the war and they had very little food. I think my mum ate dog's biscuits. Maybe it was around the same time I don't know. Thanks for your story, the blow fly may well of put me off if I wasn't desperately hungry. I can't say.

Would the communication cord be CC or ie --- et al?  UA does this mean CC is the sane one?  I feel your pain UA ~ and you go on and on, ‘bout birds and fish and frying and chipsbutter and cover --- oh yes and of much other – and I can’t help but think dear UA ~ you’re in an aching mood today.  Hope the trip to ‘Chippy’ will do up your edge. E.E.
