I find myself sometimes doing that too when reading certain authors, Pat-B, especially those from way back when. It's a kind of 'Let's get to the point here' - or a - 'All that to say this?' Maybe it's because of living in a faster-paced world?

It seems this book

is still widely sold.  Amazon even well over 30 years after his death still has it available in a current edition.  I find it interesting how some books that are considered the "must have" book of any given genre often disappears while loyal followers pay and insane amount of money to get another copy when the one they have cherished is falling apart and yet others just keep going and going.

From the reviews on Amazon, I think this one might be a bit too intimidating for me quite yet.
