C.C. ....
Apple inspection and rolling down the hill, or is it vice versa?...anyway, it sounds like a plan to me, a great way to spend the afternoon....those green apples have a tart taste all their own and can be tasty, but how tart can an apple be before one starts seeing red?.

I'm trying to catch up,CC. I missed your stuff, and am particularly taken by this poem and the two before it. You seem to be experimenting a bit.

Re: Green Apples
Thank you CG I know you like buttercups. But mushrooms are more exciting we used to pick bagfuls as kids but it all seems different now probably wonder if they were toxic or something

Re:
When we were kids E.E. it was all fields and a Neighbor had this apple tree in his hedge but we had to look out for the old Farmer as it overhung his field. Once we collected a bagful and for safeties sake hid them in an old magpies nest.

I shall speak sofetly as I lean on my gate and wait for my apple pie to fill the air with its sweetness. To gather all the moss I've seen to settle down in ones arm and enjoy the moment. Blessings, Femia

Green Apples
Very interesting story. The imagery adds extra color. I do like buttercups.

Jeez CC --- I think of the familiar song, "don't sit under the apple tree...with anyone else but me." and I see the alluring imagery and I bite into the apple - it's green and it's tart - but this is not so, it's delightfully sweet in the memory. Gate leaning, gate swinging, roll in the meadows and moss - change ~ reminds me of leaves all atumble. Of course, there are many interpretations but that is what I like about your writings. They lend and lead into other 'bunches' of lines. EE
