Slowed up going through Montreal? How the heck do you drive? Down the Decarie Expressway and over the Champlain Bridge? I'll bet that's what ya do instead of going east through the LH Tunnel the best and fastest way to go east. Now I know why you're so slow getting to Halifax.LOL

Roat trip! That used to be a signal for the boys...
Son Guy got a wild hare of an idea and took of from Dullsville to Colorado in a '68 Mustang back in the late '70s. His notion was never to return, but he got to a high plateau somewhere, watched the moon above the desert, thought about some girl who lived here, and came back. I've got a poem about it. Your post is so evocative...
