Sounds great! I made 'Rice and Peas' the other day while in Halifax, made with black-eyed peas, which are actually beans. Maybe I'll post the recipe...

It's almost a cliche -- served at any family get together, that
green bean casserole. Although I like steamed green beans with just a little butter or olive oil and some sesame seeds when it's just me and my microwave.

I have never had this dish
It sounds very rich and flavorful. It seems like a staple of many Thanksgiving feasts for a lot of people but my mom never served it.
Thanks. Bel, for visiting my corner of Blogit. I also think it should not be so hidden. It says a lot about our culture that it is. How it is named also says a lot. As if a thing becomes true by declaration. Maturity is the last thing anyone expects to find in that section.
