What a darling story. It needs to be made into a children's book with lots of pretty swirling leaf pictures. Loved it.

Total surprise that you'd even think of O'Henry's story alongside this little bit of fluff. His story was so emotional to me when I read it first -- nowadays we'd probably call it maudlin sentiment, but girlhood and O'Henry were long ago. Thank you for the reminder of one of my favorite authors...
