Lustor
What an ordeal! Sometimes unraveling this kind of foul-up (and going around in circles as you've done) can make someone feel like just throwing in the towel. Good luck with it.....

It's such a pain to have to go through all that bureaucratic B.S., especially when one is not at fault. I hope there is a speedy resolution to this.

YOU HAVE A WRONG NUMBER
Don't back down on this..If they charged you for a phone number you never had then dispute it..request to talk to a supervisor at the collection company since the phone company keeps sending you back to them. If the rep does want to do that then ask to talk to the manager, if they still refuse ask for the managers name and the address of the collection co, then write a letter to the manager explaining your dispute. That says you are serious about this dispute and you want action, the manager will then call you. Good luck.

Stick to your guns if you paid the one you got and did not get the other one. This happens all too often. Be blessed.
