You've captured it right here - sweet words can be enchanting and simple - but I agree with lionreign, just how sincere are they?  They may be a blessing or a curse, or a "maybe" as you wrote about last week...a word can carry the same power as the sword...(sorry, don't mean to pontificate).. you leave us to decide along with you....:)

Wonderful pondering. I think one can be impressed with words, but one should always seek the sincerity behind them

CORNCRAKE

I pondered this for many years before I decided the why of it wasn't important, the arrest of it was. Wonderful poetry but then, you 'dman' as they say down south

".......Why do I want much more, please tell me what is much.
Those were such simple words, and this I know....."
