I agree that everyone, even younger adults should make their own choices
in life. Who is to say what will be good for someone else?
Seizure? I think I've missed something. Guess I should try to catch up.

Well Kabu
I'm not confident she's learned the lesson yet, I think she may need more time to think about it. That's why I'm not talking to her right now.

Jeff
I am one of those mothers that thought i needed to fix everything for my boys. My son told me one day, "mom, my problems are mine, so don't make them yours." "Sometimes i just need to you listen." And i thought i was good at butting out, but i guess i wasn't. Now i am getting better.
I am never wanted to lay a guilt trip on anyone, but i really would sacrifice for my children if they allowed it. lol, keep up the good work.

You're right on Ladybugjudy
For years I've ignored my mother's efforts to "help" figuring she'd eventually get the hint. It's taken me thirty years and a life shaking illness to realize that wasn't working and that I have to set clear firm boundries

BS and What I'm Telling Myself
Sometimes it is hard for we mothers to let go even if our children are middle aged LOL..I know your Mom thinks she is helping you, and when our children are grown they want to make their own choices. I can relate from both sides of this..because my parents tried to run our lives even after we were grown, and as a mother I found it hard to let go of my children. It wasn't that I wanted to run their lives, I actually thought I was helping, until they told me politely to butt out! LOL. So I hope you can get past this all with your Mom some day.
