"is a woman ever wise to listen to sweet words"...? I guess not if
all men deceive...nasty bunch, aren't we?.....
but, if there really is time for a reprieve, perhaps she can still find one in the the lot with some goodness within his soul..

..(you should be the councillor, ny friend..

..).

A wealth of provoking thought! I am still pondering what I really think about this one! It's a good thing because it will linger and then I will be back if something strikes me as a bit profound! sam

How do you write so well about the feelings of a woman when you are a man?
You always seem to get it right.

Wonderful and leaves me wondering from whom or what she expects that reprieve. Was she a 'sinful' soul? Oh, perhaps in some way we all are so old chap

myself off five years ago when I felt my nursing had lost it's all important edge. But mile stones are people made and we are only as aged as we feel. Even when my body has collapsed...I ain't going to be old.

Gloriously sensitive and very thoughtful indeed CC ~ this poem really makes me ponder. I know as I age, I consider, mercy and 'reprieve' as you say. I was just thinking the other night on mortality in fact and how age simply doesn't wait. A very soft and 'unselfish' write and I enjoyed. EE
