It does take many to provide a child with a sage and happy environment! Good to emphasize it, too! sam

What a lovely post. I particularly enjoyed your philosophy on living, doing your part, making all phases of living a part of the whole. Children I think would thrive on that. I spoiled mine too much. Be blessed.

Re: Mariposa
My mother had 3 girls, she did hardly anything once we were old enough to take on all the chores!

Re: My children had chores as well and now that they are men with families...
I remember the day I showed my son how to operate the washing machine! Now he pitches in and helps around the house, sharing the chores with DIL.

My mother always did all the housework. I am glad my husband encouraged me to teach my children to help out. It really makes a difference for them when they are older.

My children had chores as well and now that they are men with families...
they can do anything in the and around the house that needs doing. The girls both spoilt them when they first got together.....doing all the drudge themselves, then complained to me that my sons were lazy. I t was one of the few times that I just shrugged and said they had been taught; now spoilt.....these days it all seems to work so I guess the girls got my message. Have a wonderful weekend and recharge the batteries for the week ahead.

Re: I like your way
I agree. You don't do children any favors when you do everything for them and they really enjoy helping when they are younger.

I like your way
Children need to learn as someday they will have their own home and if they don't learn now then when...?
