I thought this was rather poignant in that I got the sense of one feeling a bit insecure, if that is the right word while observing the other to be quite secure! it seems that way in relationships, one is settle the other unsettled! There were many great lines! I liked the conclusion, it made me smile for I could relate totally! sam

Oh Dear Kabu that comment I made sounded funny because I deleted a couple of sentences in between that were a bit cheeky, but I have been up since half five and changed and am washing the bed linen. So I will just thank you gracefully and please forget the previous comment

Well FS. I don't know at times if we do get any wiser in some things, but it is a job to get rid of fixations for the simple reason they have been run through the mind so many times that it feels like a scar, but that is all it is and it has taken me many years to realize that.

Apples ,pears, grapes, tomatoes, lettuce if there's any salad cream bananas iced lollies, black currants liquorice allsorts girls in shorts well if they oh forget that. hey what do you think Lauren I bought 5 large boxes of chocolates half price as Xmas presents because I am A meany and now I wonder if they might go sort of cloudy looking do you think I should give them a month earlier and say 'You will will enjoy them better now.

In answer to your question about whether the person was found who knocked me down when I was 11 years old. Yes they did, but we didn't press charges.

But will allow a passing throb of mischief to supplant
the kiss that should burn on your throat."
Well, time is still her ally and lets a passing throb of mischief supplant your kiss....so near and yet still so far...she is so secure in her own world..."I get the impression that you are secure in your form of reality. This is as real as it gets;"
She and time are both mischief makers, but some day, you may yet catch her off guard....after all, it is still a merry chase.....

CC - now I am giggling --- I put my post on my blog today about a 'kiss' --- and yes, it's full of mischief. Albeit, I so wish I had felt this thought of yours:
"slim fingers could enchant
weary words that struggle to take note
of features positively blessed. " and many more in this beautiful, more, heart moving poem of yours.
'scent upon a leaf of history' . So full of imagery, metaphor - by dilly this is yet another one of my favorites of yours. You are so inspiring, CC ~ my fave gardener poet - EE
