Re: true story
Thsnks for the visit. I heard the situation and solution from a clever boss I once had who was trying, in the early days of computer billing, to buy an above-ground swimming pool from Sears.

Re: our common problem
Thank you for the roses - the topic was a natural. I tried to get it into an intellkigible limerick but there's too much to put in. However, my tinkering did have a result; "zero dollars zero cents" is metrically far better than
"zero point zero zero dollars" or any of the other solutions I played around with.

Re: electric bill
CC, thank you so much for telling me I make sense! I'm going to quote you to our county's social services division who have trouble with that concept. We're still waiting for a durable solution.

I love it to bits and pieces! It reminded me of the time I got a gas bill for $2.50 for several months, then when the weather changed it was still the dame amount! It turned out the meter was broken! lol And my son had to send a money order to the Employment Security Commission for 48 cents to clear a bill! But none take the roses as it were in the winner's circle as this one does! What a hoot all the way around! sam
