Re: Thank you Ash I did not know about Penn or Comell.
You are welcome, Justi! When there are millions of children in the world in need of basic help, I find it appalling that anyone, individual / organization, would expend any resources for any killing. It is germs that we need to kill, not people! So, I empathize with your stand against child-killing. It was your connecting the act of questionable judgment by one individual to the Ivy League schools, which I happen to hold in high esteem from personal experience, that bothered, not offended, me. Peace!

Excuse me Cornel.
My point was about all of them and most education establishments of their beginnings in this country were of Christian background. Now some of the teachings are totally inhumane. It was that such teaching as this man is doing and approved that any school would allow it was my concern. The subject here is killing children legally. If I offended you I am sorry. I am offended by any human who would kill a living child for any reason. That is what Singer is asking for: freedom to kill any child for any reason before it reaches self awareness. I am highly offended by that regardless of where or what university it oozes from.

Re: ash pradhan / History of the Ivy League..a quick google search
History of the Ivy League
The term Ivy League commonly refers to a group of eight, east-coast colleges and universities renowned for their high academic standards and significant history. These schools were some of the earliest American institutions founded: Harvard in 1636, Yale in 1701, Penn in 1740, Princeton in 1746, Columbia in 1754, Brown in 1764, Dartmouth in 1769 and Cornell in 1865.

I haven't and I don't blame a few for the whole of anything. I would not think of Pennsylvania as part of the Ivy League group. I do not know what is being taught however, I have lived long enough to know what the difference was when they were heavily Christian. I denounce any of the works of the Progressive Movement. It is against life and is not good for man in any form.

I happen to have had the honor of...
attending & graduating from an Ivy league university, University of Pennsylvania, back in the sixties. There I met many wonderful & talented folks of all denominations and origins, some of whom I'm still in touch with. To denounce an entire institution / organization for the questionable acts of a few is folly.
