Re: Bel... It sounds like some very tough decisions had to be made.

Sunny,

Making choices that are in Pam's best interest was our first priority and the rest was secondary.  We love one another and are willing to do what it takes to make it all work.  I am confident we will find a way.

Ah yes October...where did the summer go?

Bel... It sounds like some very tough decisions had to be made.
Having to make choices that are best for everyone can be really rough.

I'm sure everyone will feel a little better when you move closer and can see them more.

Spring isn't so far...at least not the way my world has been moving here.  I'm still stuck somewhere between April and June.  To think it's actually October seems like such an unreality for me. lol.

Bel, you're right..life is filled with curve balls, and
they usually come at us when we least expect it...you and Carl have both had your share of curve balls to deal with, and you have...neither of you ever struck out (although it may have felt like it).....

I love this post - smelly shirts! holds a great wealth of love and I picture the pair of you, miles away from each other, each with a smelly shirt clutched against your faces. It's lovely.

Re: The last I remember reading...quite a while ago

Sunny,

We are still living separtely for various reasons.  First, I just returned from Oregon at the end of August that also included a reconciliation with my family.  I am spending some time with them until Spring and then moving closer to where Carl and Pam are.

Pam is in her sophomore year of high school and has been through hell between the divorce, my move to Oregon, her biological mother, etc...  I don't want to risk disrupting her life at this point so we have decided that we won't actually live in the same house again until she graduates, even though she keeps nagging us to do so.

Adding to that, I have worked my tail off to create a business that is finally coming together and moving myself up there in the middle of no man's land would not be the best business move for me.  Between a very spotty internet and phone because it is 50 miles from anywhere it makes it tough to have stability when I need it for work and the cost to have anything decent installed includes the cost of getting a major company to lay cable.  The average cost was about 30K...ummm yeah, I'll find a place not to far away that offers me this without the robbery involved LOL!

This works for now and we need time to build the relationship from what once was to what now is.

I hope all is well for you.

:)

The last I remember reading...quite a while ago
You two had just separated.  I know I have missed some stuff, but go through periods where I'm not around here much.

So are you two still living separately?  If you are, I seriously have to wonder why.

You are right, it is not common to have such an intense love in your life.  However, feeling the intensity of love myself...it is not really surprising to me that you two have lasted even through a divorce.

Love just doesn't die when things happen, and if you have the one that is born for you (which it seems that you do), I think there is very little that could permanently separate you.
