My heart aches for where you were but my soul rejoices for where you are. You are a very open, intelligent and talented person. Be blessed and believe in yourself.

7th grade and learning - life skills and all - from 'believes' - still of innocence yet innocence suffers.  I recall my 7th grade and a lot of years prior and after.  I was just discussing some 'beliefs' last night with my husband.  and quite frankly - my belief in my system - my mind, my heart, my spiritual believes have gone through a change and from enlightenment.  I embrace always 'belief' and value life's change.  This made me ponder TZippy - Elyse

Great post
Good food for thought.  We are our thoughts for they do create our reality and sometimes we are character players in a significant other's play of life.

Moving can be so difficult, especially in light of all that was going on.

It is very interesting indeed to think about all of those of my past that contributed in some way to my belief system.  Good post.

Tzippy,   the man that is so angry with G-d does not want to have anything to do with religion and yet   his anger is  proof of his belief.  He could not be angry unless he believed He existed.  Sometimes we are angry at the way things are, and rightfully so, but that does not mean that we have changed our beliefs... we just revise them to accomodate the evil and hurful things that happen to us and be able to make sense of them.  Other times we totally reject what we have believed till the time of the abuse.  An example of these are the survivors of the hollocaust.  For some the tragedy that befell them strngthened their faith... Others became atheists, refusing to believe any G-d could allow things like that to happen but though they were angry at G-d , they still believed enough in Him to curse Him.  They all did what they had to do to make some sense of what had happened.  Your experiences changed the way you viewed the world but I bet that your core beliefs,  your sense of good and bad which at such a young age were so shaken are still there,  allowing you to attempt to make sense of your life.  I have said it before and I will say it again, you are an amazinly strong woman.  xoxoxo
