yes, sad memories remain as we grow older and we contemplate:
"Why is something that is simple
be difficult just to fulfil.
Why can’t one say, you will do.
After trying one or two?"
Never works out that way, does it, or very seldom, but then down the road..
"I saw her and she took my arm
She said I fear we’re growing old
But I still love you my sweet Toad."
Makes growing old almost worthwhile..
