There is no place like home
Sometimes we go in circles, but we learn more each time we go around LOL Cheerygirl

Re: You're right about that. No place like home.

Pat,

We do have our beauty...when it's not covered by snow and ice LOL!  I have to admit, not much I have seen across this county compares to the PNW for beauty but every place I have visited has their own beauty.  I discovered in the PNW that I would often stop and just take in my surrounding because even in the middle of the city it could be breath taking while those who had lived there all their lives sort of thought I was nuts.

Michigan has some wonderful lakes and it is beautiful but probably like the rest that have been here most of our lives, I have to be reminded of what it's worth sometimes.

Re: Bel

Wiley,

I bet it's a wonderful place where you are now.  Home truly is where your heart is and for you it's with Kabu.

Bel
I love your State of Michigan. How could I not? Ontario is your neighbour and we know the climate you live in as well. I moved here from Québec back in the days of the 'Quiet Revolution' and I got sick of it all. But, I miss it a lot and I understand you, and yes I could move back but it's just too late in life and Kabu and I are happy where we are anyway. Hang in there luv and God Bless you with love.

You're right about that. No place like home.
I think Michigan must be a beautiful place, with the lakes and the landscape, although I'm not crazy about 5-month winters. I think a lot of us believe our home town is kind of a backward place--grew up in a village of less than 500 people, some of whom were surprisingly hip and with it.

Re: Re: Wow, for someone who doesn't like Bon Jovi

Bel, don't you know there is an unwritten rule that you can't enjoy the music unless you think the lead singer is HOT!

Oh, and that only goes for guy groups for girls, and girl groups for guys

I am a huge fan of Jennifer!  I have all the Sugarland albums...I said he doesn't make me hot, I can still enjoy his music.
