I myself have wondered at times where the words have gone.

Re: Re:
LOL, wonder why he kept putting his head in the sacks?  Hmmm...well, days of go my kiddos would get out of school classes, come potato harvest time.  Is when I lived in Maine.  I remember the coolness of the morn and wondered how they would feel once the sun would come out and glare over those miles and acres of fields dappled with such 'gold'.  They didn't find the poetry in it all --- they complained but I reminded them that they were out of classes for this...is when they would get ready for yet another day of harvest. I think it was the 'gleaners' more that I remembered...such a lovely vision.  EE

Re:
Well I did go potato picking once E.E. Wore out a pair of shoes only made of cardboard in those days. Earned sixpence an hour and got the sack after  two days my co-worker went mental and kept putting his head in the sacks.

Re:
Thank you csherloc well in a way it would be nice to use words like when I was a small boy my Grampy took me into the town toilet. My mother asked where we had been when I got back and I said I went with Grampy to have a piddle. She replied you must not say rude words like that.

these words are marching right along, like nice little soldiers to the call
but you put them in an order of words that look like artform. and yet they are politically correct.

Hi Corncake, is your question, how can you tell your real story, if you have to be totally nice?

C.C......
want to be curled and prance and dance and even so much as set fire to the paper one is writing on...oh, they say they want to make the page glow, but words just love to play with words....and where indeed are they when you need them??...off playing 'hide n seek', or something even naughtier, no doubt.....

You, CC, have a 'way' with word.  Your metaphors, analogies - your descriptive qualities are to be desired.  and it's keen how you 'play' with words - with meanings and well, collectively re-write intentions.  Gleaning is what potato farmers look forward to from harvest...it helps with the sowing, re-seeding of their plots - this was a great review and write - awesome in fact - Okay, inspiring...  So now, I must 'curl' up with a book?  I think not...instead look for things to gather --- for the harvest is near.  Off for more inspiration - EE
