Busy household and poor Christian - he's learning isn't he?  or rather, he's learning to call on his parents  ~ realizing he's got a stronghold or a supportive group to rely on.  I feel badly for all this occurring to him.  and Hmmm...Canasta did you say?  at any rate, I love games and you're fun to play with the kiddos.  Have a great day - busy and all, you have a good attitude; it's all about Love.  Elyse

Time is the rarest commodity...I can empathize with you! Don't get too stressed about it, and as for problems...this too shall pass!

This is the problem with writing novels! But half-way through is very encouraging. As soon as you've managed another quarter, you'll be nearly there and raring to finish. Then you'll find the time. Trust me - I'm a vicar!

I tend to write as part of everyday life and the approach works well for me.

Well Malcom good luck with the writing, I know the feeling, what I usually do is think about a subject as I potter around  or attempt to do the hoovering which I hate. In my case probably a poem and think a few lines through or muddle though something and then later on when I have time I just write it out. It is a job to sit down I find and write cold, but you may be able to hopefully.

I think it is good to have it in a mindset where you will work on it when time allows, but with kids and work it's tough, but anything that can be done will help get it finished! And when that happens, for me the real writing begins on the editing! sam

Oh yes, I remember that you are working on a novel. Trying to find the time is the toughest part.

I think that it's OK to write any time
It's just as important as anything, and certainly much more so than housework which eventually gets done when needed.
