The way the mind works. up to 60,000 thoughts per day. Like a disorganized room or office, stuff everywhere. We try to streamline ever so often, but these thoughts and ideas, memories, can be so powerful, they choose there own way of expressing themselves.

Re:
E.E. I could do with a bit more memory, it is most annoying at times , to look at something and think what was that day like, what a bit of fun going through your trunk. Years ago I put some poems in a shed and found the mice had nibbled them to make nests. You do make interesting replies thank you

CC - superbly, intellectually rich poetry here. Of vagueness - things, ideas missed to marked memory and yes, those that are long-suffering as unforgiving, as well. Contrast to me was (is) superb. The weight of feelings that have been suppressed and now sought (or able) to bring forth - and all that has been hidden - brought to light - warmth and harshness - ache and yet bittersweet pain. This is utterly awesome. Mind boggling with the depth it carries. Yes, I hope please you continue to 'reorganize' and find your treasures. You are getting me nearer and nearer to my 'trunk' that is hidden in my overfilled garage. I am enjoying this treat of yours. Search on and write on!!!~ EE

CORNCRAKE
This is one of those times when I cannot make any sense of the words I read, overtired I suppose, but I find this inabilty to comprehend a nuisance, like the tax bill I received today, couldn't understand that either. Thanks for writing my old friend,

C.C...
"a heart that beats above too many promises" - memories will do that, or for that matter, so does the present time...the heart gets ahead of us..."the weight of feelings that appear to be empty" - and yes, we ask ourselves 'how can my heart feel so heavy?'...
Time is an uncaring creature, full of fleeting glimpses, but mostly just the harshness of that overall empty view.

That is a major element, the wanting to feel something seemingly no matter what.
