I will always love the smell and taste of coffee, but too much of it, hurts my head and sometimes elevates my blood pressure.

Amazing...alluring spin on coffee. I do love the aroma.

I've started not to long ago mixing decaf and regular coffee at home. But I still have a regular cup at work or when I'm visiting. Love hot tea and cold tea too...no sugar please. LOL!

I think I have told you before Shobana, alright you can have your first sensuous swallow. I have to have the first with caffeine. Afterwards decaffeinated which you say you cannot obtain. I know it is like sucking a stick with no lollipop on the end. You will find that is what's life's like when you get older. Yes it was a nice thought provoking poem, I don't know how do it every day and go to work, well I have heard of super mums take over the world eventually I shouldn't wonder. Careful driving drinking coffee

Re: I love the smell of coffee, but I never drink it any more
Thank you for the visit Tzippy, I love coffee and yes it is easy to smell it in any coffeehouse though I usually have mine at home most times..every drink has it own problems I guess.

6 For years I’ve said that we’ve got the coffee brewing and the music bubbling. And a retired disc jockey on the radio had a sound effect of coffee brewing. And now you’ve put it to poetry. How beautiful love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Shobana --- YUMMY ~ too delightful and absolutely wonderful to read this. Wow what a way with words, great metaphors, imagery you name it; and now I am craving a cup of coffe and knowing I won't do it this late at night but, added my french roast for tomorrow morning (and with just a titch more to add a rich punch at the end of brewing...)

~ wow, this was a great poem...like I think one of my TOP 'faves' of yours.

So many people can relate to this poem because of the popularity of coffee. I myself cannot because I do not drink it.

ahhhh, I knew I smelled fresh coffee brewing...
first thing in the morning there is definitely something sensuous about the aroma, and it definitely awakens the taste buds...here's to coffee, any flavor will do, but good old fashioned Columbian has to be the best.
