Glad to see someone raising the question of women in theocratic societies. Quite a gap between the mores of the 14th century and ours of the 21st. Always amazes me how NOW has been so consistently silent about their sisters in othe lands!

It will definitely take sometime to adjust to world which is closer yet so far apart culturally.

well ... i was discussing this with a paskistani who told me that culturally for a woman to sing in public is like flirting and so many customs that dictate proper behavior...that the afghani are very lovable people and very content
