- Go to Can A Child Use Sign Language?
Years ago my four tiny grandsons were learning sign language to aid in communication with the oldest who, due to CP was and still is unable to talk. James was two and just talking himself. He would sign the alphabet up to and including the "I" and the "J" then he would stop as if he had signed off, saying verbally, "I James."

6T I would think so. I have trouble with it. The teacher aimed at an old woman but the best and sweetest love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I had a neighborhood boy reel off sign language like no one's business. He was in kindergarten when I first met him. He would sign for me so that I could communicate with his parents! sam
