C.C...lol..yes, pants would have been so much easier, although
the extra weight might have proven disasterous....now, those scratches - were they from ferns or felines with razor sharp claws??....just wondered...wouldn't want you reinjuring yourself if you tried this trip down memory lane again some day....

Country Lads
Seem like a nice at the time, turns out to be more bitter than sweet,-----good thing everyone will soon get over it.

My husband was a country lad--endearing at first,
but later became a bit too rustic for me.
Eventually he tromped off into the meadow muffins
and became a cow pile himself.

I tseems to me a good idea that you didn't stuff the ferns down into your
pants. As an avid rock and pebble gatherer, I do wonder what happened to the pebbles. Boys can be such a shame.

Aww the kitty not allowed - and one losing that spirit rather, control that only authority from parents seemingly can easily strip us from.   Reminded me of my brothers CC - I had 6 brothers don't you know...and many a time I would have to set back and 'embroider' with the young ladies (yes and had to wear bobbie socks as well) and not be able to go journey down these paths with my brothers.  I would pout and think how unfair...and yes, many a time I sat back when they returned, with thoughts of "well I would have been smarter..." as my Mother would be scolding them for their torn this or you did what? at any rate - I was able to talk my Daddy into letting me fish and dap stones and soon I was invited out for touch football until my mamma returned home from marketing. CC ~ I like this writing - it actually inspires me and certainly makes me remember some neat older times.
