What I do Malcom as well as spelling poorly is to separate chores for different days and then if I miss it, well it comes round again in a weeks time. No use me making a list I would lose it.
Life doesn't get easier. Wet today, need not to do washing just bought ten pairs of socks all black.

Fantastic time of adventure for Ivan - he's certain to enjoy himself and grow up loads. Commiserations to you and Susan, but at least the terms are short and he'll soon be home for Christmas.

What a great post. It's a perfect example of the fact that life just keeps rolling along and adjustments have to be continually made. I think it's exciting for all of you.

I was the first one of my parents' two children to go off to college. I think they found my sister's departure to college to be easier...E-mail is so wonderful because it enables us to maintain contact. Back in the day I know it was not uncommon to hear nothing while one's child was away.

I''m sure Ivan will do well, and much more excited than he might show..:)
I didn't have much of a travel problem either, to get to eith the college (for some courses) and to the university for others...lots of payphones were still around to keep in touch...

Malcom
This was a lovely read from a father about his child going away to school. There was sadness, pride and joy all appropriate and in their order. Loved it.

Hi Malcom. I did have a look at your site well set out and obviously has take a lot of work.
I found it a bit slow to load, but perhaps it is Sunday and cloudy the internet might be running slowly. Blogit site seems to keep freezing so it might be my set-up. Cable runs down the road, but I don't know if that's better, I worry more about getting the cable through the wall. I am glad there are still some sensible families around. Sorry I can't be a ballet dancer.
