This is so sad and deplorable
How could they not have seen this man and why didn't shut the place down? As always, Money is the bottom line.

Truly horrible!
And SCARY for those of us rapidly aging. I witnessed first hand the treatment you receive in such facilities when my sister was comatose and in an extended care facility. If you do not have family to check on your situation and make sure the workers know family will check and complain if things aren't right, neglect quickly sets in. I do not want to be in such circumstances myself--ever!

I am so sad and angry for this man, Grandmummy. And for all the other residents who are forced to remain at this facility. Why do we toss them aside as if their lives never counted for anything or to anyone?
If you ask me, and I know I am being very unChristian like here, so I must ask God to forgive me...Someone should slash their bodies and leave them to suffer the pain this poor man must have felt,
I would never neglect my mum or dad. Nor you or Poppy. I love you.

sadly it is the same in more than one country, the elderly have become a
burden and waste of money where society is concerned. It is no better in Australia, the only elderly souls who are well cared for are those with family to keepaclose watch and who actually care. That is getting less and less as families become scattered and the elderly isolated.
What you wrote is horrific and should belong to another century such neglect is an act of murder.
