Re: FSI
Ah, if I recall correctly, schedules are a key to your success with work and education! I know who to go to for advice on this subject. You do well to keep everything running smoothly!

Re: Sam
Yes, it would be a tragedy to be removed for tardiness! Ironically, though, being in the gifted program and doing well in school was something the attorney said was in my daughter's favor if a custody suit was brought. Yet, it is something Tela does well at--despite her home life! Kids are amazing.

I am also glad. She is able to laugh about it now, although I still see a trace of embarrassment on her face as she laughs. That will pass in time I think.

Re: your love for this little girl and your patience with your daughter
Thank you. I am truly touched by your comment. It doesn't seem out of the ordinary to me because I love both of them, and I especially want a good life for the little one with more memories of love than anger and illness.

Re: Adnohr
She was able to laugh about it tonight at church when I asked her if she remembered to put on her "grandma shoes".

It is so good of you to take her, it would be a great loss if she had to be removed from the gifted program! sam

You are so right about all types of kids draining the energy level...Schedules are a key component in managing one's time. I know that you will develop one that works that you adhere to.

your love for this little girl and your patience with your daughter
are wonderfulblessings and even if the daughter never gets well...the little one is going to have your love in her heart all her life and will remember. I wish I had been reading you much long ago...you are a special person.

I agree with your last sentence - it's less frustrating to be prepared. Your granddaughter will not only laugh later about the shoe episode, she'll also remember the love her grandma is spending on her.
