It would be interesting to discover how that saying came about. Probably in the old days when religion had a powerful sway, and some smart person realized that cleanliness helped prevent spreading disease, then figured the best way to teach this was to equate it with God...I'm going to look it up. Do you see what you started, LOL?

It's true, we need little more than that! And I like the approach as well! Very exquisite! sam

Re: 2902 return to earth
Thank you for your kind words! The thought that previous life nourishes present and future life astounds me by how many ways it's true.

Re: My first mother-in-law believed in that old saying...
It,s one of those things you don't think about much, like song lyrics, but then one day you suddenly realize what you,re saying. Not that I ever believed it, but I never realized til recently how strange the sentiment was!l

My first mother-in-law believed in that old saying...
In fact, she'd come in while I was at work and scrub my kitchen, rearrange the cupbords, etc. But when she started toilet training my little girl by saying "Jesus loves little ones who use the potty," I got another baby sitter.

Deep thinking Bob It wouldn't be next to a soap factory. No, I think someone was trying to impress a small child to wash hands. Bob please do not ever call soil dirt it is a living organism. Remember. Oh dear Bob I feel so wretched making fun of your work. It really is clever. I just feel in an awful mood today, Sam says she won't write because she is on drugs. Perhaps I shouldn't because I am on a pension. Keep writing you don't tote a gun do you?
