I let spiders hang out at my place, too! I am not bothered by mosquitoes and flies either! They can erect a new 'home, or 'snare so very quickly! Too bad on the floors, I think I might have gone mad! sam

This is a great post to a point: First paragraph wonderful except I was afraid your neighbors had been caught up in a tornado. I am a woman and I am not scared of spiders or mice. I don't want them around but I am not scared of them, snakes another subject, I hate them. But shades of the Gestapo is another issue. Write us when you do finally get a bit of sleep and let us know where we are to come with our soldier suits and equipment to help you.

Spiders are very neat creatures with their webs and all. I am glad to read that you tried to shoo them on out there. I try to save animals if I can as well.

I loved your first paragraph, after I realized you were not in the middle of an earthquake area. LOL.

I totally agree with you about spiders - I actually like them, quite apart from their amazing usefulness! I mean you gotta admire creatures that were around at the time of the dinosaurs... Now, events that bring boot-wearing men in the middle of the night is another matter entirely, and I hope you did find some sleep in the end...

Somewhere I read the sentence "Most of us are never more than six feet
away from a spider." I don't mind that, either. I told my little neighbor girl almost exactly what you just wrote about spiders, and she looked at me the way 5-year-olds can, with that "what are you, crazy?" expression and said she didn't like it when webs got on her. I hope you got some sleep... :)
