Hello Mum,

It could be that perhaps your little one is going through a growth spurt, or that he's unaware of some feelings of jealousy toward the new little one who is on his way.  Congratulations to you, by the way!

And yes, he is trying to gain some independence over Mummy and Daddy.  He may also feel he is in need of more attention because of the new baby.  It's very difficult for children so young to express themselves and they often react by lashing out.  It will pass.

Discipline
Oh yes, the terrible twos..rest assured he will come out of it in time.  Of course maybe your nerves won't make it with a few bumps and screams here and there.

He sounds very normal to me! And you will be a more relaxed mom with the second child, for it is as you say, they will cry no matter what we do! I always told myself they were building up lung capacity and therefore I was not as bothered by it! I knew the differences in the cries! sam
